I have been a stranger in a stranger land, therefore, I will return to Africa

The Book Of Joseph, Part Five – Yuya Sahara Alljah 6

At nineteen I went to California
To Dawson at mile zero
To the center of the Rockies
To the Pacifying Ocean

In ninety-eight I left
The company of higher vision
For two years I walked the land
Felt the earth trembling beneath

I have been a stranger in a stranger land
Therefore, I will return to Africa
These here know neither knowledge or spirit
Heed the message of Egypt, O Canada

I will bring tubers and horses
Houses, scientists and seed trees
Food for the body and soul
Jah remnant of Thy True Knowledge

For we’ve tasted the apple
Yet not even found that worthy
As a child I ate dozens of varieties
from Waldale and Fishers farms

Now what do them feed their kids?
When even righteous men
Find pure food scarce
and Truth scarcer still.

As Babylon falls there is thunderous noise, Earthquakes and earth shifts

The Book Of Joseph, Part Five – Yuya Sahara Alljah 9

I moved out at sixteen
Left home for good at seventeen
I have lived long in Babylon
In but not of; In but not of.

My friends found the Holy at twelve and thirteen
I resisted until age of fourteen
The peace that I found
Took a long time to understand

Jah first spoke to Joseph at five
In Kitchener at Nottingham Crescent
Then in Burlington as a teen
Then Toronto at twenty-two

Now that was twenty years ago
Some may say an apology is due
Yet there were things I needed to learn
And indeed I feared for my life

If this comes too late LORD
Please know that I tried hard
This world is confusing
I watch the innocent and Holy die

As Babylon falls there is thunderous noise,
Earthquakes and earth shifts, and
the cry is heard among the nations:
The sea has come upon Babylon!

The Anti-Hit List for October 8

By John Sakamoto of the Toronto Star

Anti-Hit List from John Sakamoto – 08oct05

10. THE HIDDEN CAMERAS, "LOLLIPOP"

Written for the unreleased film The Lollipop Gang by cinematic/musical transgressor G.B. Jones, this Joel Gibb song creates its own narrative around a gang that treats the lollipop as a narcotic (since, as Gibb explained in an email, "sugar really is the first gateway drug"). Appropriately, then, the tempo mimics a sugar rush, picking up speed till it barrels into a brick-wall ending. And, like the other tracks on this double vinyl EP, this is just the demo. (From Learning the Lie, http://www.musicismyboyfriend.com)

9. THE DARKNESS, "ONE WAY TICKET"

From the ludicrous intro (faux chanting monks over a faux Kung Fu flute) to the blatant AC/DC guitar rip-off to the mock-operatic Queenly backing vocals — no surprise, since Roy Thomas Baker produced both the source material and the homage to it — this second-album teaser sounds like the first album — but with even more laughs (From One Way Ticket to Hell ... and Back, http://www.myspace.com/thedarkness)

8. BLOC PARTY VS. PUSSYCAT DOLLS, "DON'T CHA BANQUET"

While the logic behind pairing these diametrically opposed artists may seem elusive, the former's "Banquet" and the latter's "Don't Cha" turn out to share sufficient musical compatibility to have inspired two concurrent mash-ups, by the practitioners known as Dunproofin' and Aggro 1. Each takes a markedly different path to get where it's going, but both are well worth following, especially if you loathe the Pussycat Dolls track — or just wish you did. (http://www.gybo-v3.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=9240)

7. LADY SOVEREIGN, "HOODIE"

In the four months since she first appeared on the List, this pint-sized, teenage, white British rapper has become the poster girl for the U.K. grime movement that brought us Dizzee Rascal, the Run the Road compilations, and not much more. Now that she's working with the likes of Jay-Z, that could all change, especially with jittery, hook-filled singles like this one. (From Public Warning, http://www.savethehoodie.co.uk/frameset.php)

So shall they see His face, and know not the King of Kings

The Book Of Joseph, Part Five – Yuya Sahara Alljah 13

Let them speak against us
Them seh we fell for
Some sort of new way
Yet I am the God of Abraham

Who dares counteract my countenance?
Who will deny My Providence?
The fate of the Earth depends on ye
Leading the blessed transformation

Just as they’ve seen the
Body of the LORD
Hanging on a tree
And still not believed

And know not the King of Kings
For how can this be?

This Holy radiance
Shines to Jah revealers
Thus, it is your duty to
Teach beyond the believers

Unity is ALL in Tafari, Inafrica
Unity is Yours, JESHUA
Manifest in Jah

How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!

The Book Of Joseph, Part Five – Yuya Sahara Alljah 17

How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness,
and grieve him in the desert!
I am known for My patience
Though mighty in great anger
Full of mercy, then wrathful
I am honored among Holy people

Splendid, among My chosen
Holy and great in the blessings of Jah
When the Era of Wickedness is at an end,
and evildoing ceases forever.

Yea, they turned back and tempted God,
and limited the Holy One of Israel.
They remembered not his hand,
nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.

The Book Of Joseph, Part Five – Yuya Sahara Alljah 17

I refuse the tabernacle of my forefathers, and their wandering from Jah ways

The Book Of Joseph, Part Five – Yuya Sahara Alljah 19

I awake from deep slumber
My voice is loud, as if emboldened by wine
My enemies are crushed in the hinterlands:
Who can withstand my perpetual reproach?
I refuse the tabernacle of my forefathers,
And their wandering from Jah ways
I choose the tribe of Judah,
the mount Zion which he loved.
I build My sanctuary like high palaces,
like the earth, established for ever.

I choose David as My servant,
and take him from the sheepfolds:
From following the ewes great with young
I brought him, to feed Jacob his people,
and Israel his inheritance.

I feed ye according to the integrity of My heart; and guide by the skilfulness of My hands.

The Book Of Joseph, Part Five – Yuya Sahara Alljah 19

As Jah by the River Jordan stretched His right hand for water

The Book Of Joseph, Part Five – Yuya Sahara Alljah 22

As Jah by the River Jordan
Stretched His right hand for water
and sprinkled it on the shore
Making land moist, bringing forth fruit

From the pages of the Unknown Gospel
From a seed buried under the sand
I spring forth, back into your Life
Ye are like a little child again

Salome seh “How long will death have power?”
Jah seh: So long as ye women bear children
Salome seh “Until when shall men die?”
Jah seh: So long as women bear children
Salome seh “When will this be known?”
Jah seh: When ye have trampled on
The garment of shame
When the two become One
The male with the female
Neither male nor female

Why sayest thou, O Jacob,
and speakest, O Israel,
My way is hid from the LORD,
and my judgment is passed over from my God?
Hast thou not known?
Hast thou not heard,
that the everlasting God, the LORD,
the Creator of the ends of the earth,
fainteth not, neither is weary?
There is no searching of his understanding.

FCE fuel cells to power Starwood Hotels in California, NJ, NY

Fuel Cell Power (FCE) at Starwood Hotels Totals 2.25 MW

October 4, 2005

White Plains, New York and Danbury, Connecticut [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] FuelCell Energy, manufacturer of ultra-clean power generation plants for commercial and industrial customers, announced an additional 500 kW Direct FuelCell (DFC) power plant installation at Starwood Hotels & Resorts' Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. This increases Starwood's commitment to base load heat and power from DFC power plants to 2.25 MW at four hotels in California, New Jersey and New York.

The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina's original installation of 1 MW of DFC power generation at its East Tower has been increased by 500 kW with a second installation at its West Tower. The fuel cells will supply base load electricity for the 1,044-room hotel while the heat byproduct will be used for the hotel's pools.

"Increasing the onsite power generation from our DFC power plants at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, our fourth Starwood property in the United States to have its base load power from our ultra-clean fuel cells, clearly demonstrates a repeat customer's confidence in our products for commercial applications," said R. Daniel Brdar, President and COO of FuelCell Energy.

"Managing energy reliability, costs and efficiency are critical components of delivering world class comfort to our customers," said John Lembo, Director of Energy for Starwood Hotels. "FuelCell Energy has proven that the value proposition of its DFC power plants meets our strategic focus -- reducing our energy costs while improving the reliability and cleanliness of power generation at our resorts."

The DFC power plants at the hotel will be installed and operated by Alliance Star Energy, a joint venture between FuelCell Energy and Alliance Power. "Our work with Starwood in California is evidence that fuel cells are demonstrating the benefits that not only help the environment, but also ease the load on the grid and provide the facility with an environmentally friendly way of producing electricity," said James Michael, President of Alliance Power.

European windfarms will grow ten-fold by 2020; solar PV to increase 45 times

From ReFocus Weekly

Europe could source 34% of electricity from renewables by 2020, says analysis
UTRECHT, The Netherlands, October 5, 2005 (Refocus Weekly) Power generation from windfarms in Europe will grow at least ten-fold by 2020, while output from solar PV will increase 45 times, according to an analysis of the continental green power market.

Wind will grow from 34 TWh in 2001 to 385 TWH in 2020 under a ‘business as usual’ scenario, but would reach 461 TWH under a scenario that models the future evolution based on the currently available best practice strategies of the EU-25 states, predicts ‘FORRES 2020.’ The analysis was produced by a number of groups, including Fraunhofer ISI, EEG, ECOFYS, KEMA and REC.

Photovoltaic would increase from 0.2 TWH to 8.8 TWH under BAU and 17.9 TWH under the policy scenario, while solar thermal electric would grow from nothing in 2001 to 12.7 and 21.7 TWH, respectively. Wave and tidal power would go from 0 to 8.4 or 33.2, geothermal would go from 6.3 to 7.5 or 8.2, biomass and biogas would go from 37 to 141 or 338, while small-scale hydro would go from 38 TWH in 2001 to 44.3 TWH in 2020 under BAU or 48.4 TWH under the policy scenario.

Total supply of green power among the 25 countries would increase from 403 TWH to 900 TWH under BAU or 1,234 TWH under the policy scenario. Total power demand will increase from 2,960 TWH in 2001 to 4,009 or 3,583 TWH respectively, meaning that green power will rise from 13.6% of demand in 2001, to 22.5% of demand under business as usual, or 34.4% under the policy scenario.

The share of 34% from green power and 20% of primary energy is feasible by 2020 but it requires “immediate policy actions in most member states,” the report concludes. Green power would reduce CO2 emissions from the 25 countries by 290 Mt under business as usual (compared with 2001 emissions), but this reduction could be another 350 Mt higher under the policy scenario.

The difference between the two scenarios represents more than half of the EU-25 commitment under the Kyoto protocol in the period from 1990 to 2010.

Greater efforts in energy efficiency are also required to achieve the green power targets for 2010 and to define ambitious targets for 2020, the report concludes.

How to make a great Online Portfolio – 7 tips to creative success on the web!

How can an illustrator, photographer or designer make a great Online Portfolio? Here are seven steps to creative success on the web:

1. Select the right number of pieces. Choose 20 work samples that demonstrate the breadth and depth of your abilities. We've found that clients prefer to see approximately 10-15 pieces that represent your core specialization and another five to ten that reflect additional talents or areas of interest.

2. Keep samples current - Each item should be relatively current - generally no more than three years old - and preferably still in use. Timely material demonstrates that you're up-to-date with design trends and technologies. Exceptions to this would be award-winning images and pieces that are crucial to building a portfolio theme.

3. Organize strategically - The method of organization you choose will depend on the type of client you're targeting as well as your experience. Many corporate clients, for example, are interested in an industry-specific portfolio that demonstrates all the pieces you've produced that relate to their line of business. Some agencies and clients, however, will prefer to review samples by media specialty. It's a good idea to call ahead and see how the interviewer would prefer your work to be organized. Professionals just beginning their careers may want to organize their portfolios chronologically, with most recent projects first, since this method emphasizes creative development.

4. Invest wisely - Present your pieces in a professional portfolio that allows you to showcase your work most effectively (white background, black background, different layouts, Titanium, Leather or even Vinyl Portfolios). Invest in a quality online portfolio - it's worth the expense.

5. Label items with key information - Each piece should contain the following information: the client for whom it was produced, your role in the project, the software utilized, and one or two sentences explaining why the piece is important. All of this info adds keywords and key phrases into local and major search engines.

6. Be specific - Demonstrate specific proficiencies in your portfolio. For example, if you specialize in graphic design, consider including at least one example of cross-platform work. Ideally, 1 theme of 20 images, 2 groups of 10 images, or 4 subjects x 5 samples per. No more than 4 major specialization areas, see examples below.

7. Email your portfolio - Supplying electronic copies that are both PC- and Mac-compatible allows a buyer to bookmark or save your samples. The Email Promo Tool at Portyfolios.com allows you to send any one image or all 20 of your thumbnails anywhere in the world, with just a click!

Descendants and Disciples of Ras Tafari; keep and Defend the Faith

Let the whole of this work be a tribute to the Lion and the Lamb, paid in homage to Nesta, whose lyrical offerings are more eloquent, and whose vocal expressions are more heartfull, than any ever heard upon this planet. If King David’s Psalms prove out to be a collection of the Holy Works of an era rather than a single Being, then there is no longer even a contest. Bob is King in the New Kingdom of Music. Think about all the great Musicians in Heaven; Who is He that gets to choose among them so?

This book is a love letter from myself to the Holy City, the Solar Goddess, La Heavana Musica, Jahsheba Zion; a plea from Father Sky to Mother Earth. A Human must do what Jah LORD requests. I am not being unreasonable when suggesting that Zion lead the solar conversion.

Your insight, caring, and striving for justice, have truly lit up Our world and moved the people forward. Descendants and Disciples of Ras Tafari; keep and Defend the Faith, for Jeshua and Moses guide Your every move, while Elijah and His Majesty observe with glowing approval. Kidist Etiopia, Your Light shines out over all the nations, bringing Peace to the lands. Jeshua, thank You for everything. Let the peoples Unite, and the healing begin. Truly, We give thanks for everything, praise Jeshua.

La Heavana Musica - Forward

The sun and the wind will be harnessed by Humanikind, United by Jah People with Music and

Moses was covered by clouds, and said unto Jah, Who are You? And the LORD saith unto Him, I am who I am. Then the cops pulled Jeshua from His cell, and brought Him before the chiefs, saying, so You are the One who says He is the Son of Man? And the LORD sayeth, That is who you say I am. Then Marshall was brought before the premier, and charged with uttering homophobic and misogynist lyrical content, and also charged with being a troubling white influence on the youth of the nations. The ministers said unto him, Are you this masculinist, chauvinist, and rebellious force that we have been forewarned of? And shades answered them thus, shouting, I am whoever you say I am, if I wasn’t, why would I say I am? And Elijah saith, There goes a wolf in wolf’s clothing, and is respecting of the troubled young warrior with the sharp tongue and acute vocabulary.

Three Holy Foods that You must bring forth unto Jah

While he was giving the king the story of how Isheba Tafari had given life to the dead, the woman whose son had come back to Life came into the palace of the king with a request, saying, Where is my house, my land? Gehazi said, My lord king, this is the woman and this is her son, whose life Isheba gave back to him. They said to him: The man of Jah hath come! Tafari the prophetess sent for one of the sons, a righteous one among the prophets, and said to him, Make yourself ready for a journey, take this bottle of hemp oil in your hand, and let the healing begin.

There was a sore famine in Somalia, by the western border with Ethiopia, and it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show thyself, and I will send rain upon the earth. Art thou that my lord Elijah? And he answered him, I am: go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here.

La Heavana Musica - Chapter Three

Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the Sons of Jacob, and the same number for the Disciples of Jeshua

Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto I. And all the people came nearer to Him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the Sons of Jacob, and the same number for the Disciples of Jeshua, unto whom the Word of the LORD came, saying, Israel and Palestine shall be Thy Name, and Tafari shall be Thy Holy City. And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel and Judah, let it be known this day that Thou art God in Israel, and that I am Thy servant, and that I have done all these things at Thy Word.

They were about to put a dead man into the earth when they saw a band coming, with loud, harmonious music. They put the man quickly on the caravan, among the body of Jah People on the Freedom Road. The dead man, who had been lost to the living, touched the Holy streets of Tafari, and came to Life again; He got up on his feet, and He danced. His elation was not merely ephemeral, for he then felt the positive bliss, the soulful nirvana of Eternal Knowledge, Love, Peace and Light. For I am indeed the leader of Indigo Children, of Green Panthers everywhere, Protecting Jah Earth with Love and Light and nonviolent spirits and lifestyles.

Our Queen Omega Menen, Our King Alpha Tafari, shine forth unto Judah, and bring Your full warmth to Jerusalem, in Her hour of need. For Your Prince has become Your King, and the Holy Daughter, the Royal Princess, is ascending as Jah Queen of Holy Light, and She shall live forever with Jah King of Truth and Love. I and I are servants of Jeshua and Humanity, and We thank You O LORD for the Health that provides this opportunity.

Chapter Four - Sounds of Lion and Lamb

Solomon
Sol-Amen, Sun is Heralded
Sol-Amun, Sun Peace Unity
Sahlaman, Wise Peaceful One
Suleimon, Sun Wise Peace
Sol-Amen III, Son of Yusuf
Bringer of Wisdom and Peace

Let all be unmistaken, for even in the priestly Messiah, Jeshua the Lamb, there is fierceness in message in parable in lessons. Let all be quite certain, for even in the Lamb’s Protector, Jah Lion of Judah, the warrior Messiah, there is gentleness with people and with animals. He abolished slavery, preached in Jerusalem, taught at Geneva, took refuge in Bath. The First One they hung live with criminals, the Second One they threw in the ground; I and I Father are One.
